Meet Peter - Our Pilgrim Bear!

Jubilee Year 2025: Pilgrims of Hope
In 2025, Pope Francis is inviting the entire Church to embrace the Year of Pilgrimage, a time to deepen our faith through spiritual journeys. A pilgrimage isn’t just about visiting sacred places; it’s about opening our hearts to God, walking together in hope and renewing our commitment to love and serve others. This special year helps us reflect on our personal journey with Christ and live out the message of hope He brings to the world.
To make this journey even more exciting, our school has its very own pilgrim – Peter the Pilgrim Bear! Peter will be travelling with us on school trips, visiting the church for Mass, and even joining our pupils on their personal journeys of faith and kindness. Whether it’s visiting their parish church, exploring other places of worship (eg mosque, temple, gurdwara), or even bringing Peter along to show acts of kindness in everyday life, Peter helps us follow in Jesus' footsteps and put our faith into action. This is a journey for everyone, regardless of their beliefs, as we walk together in faith, hope and love.
His travels will help create a sense of awe and wonder, showing our pupils the beauty of God’s creation while reflecting on how we are all pilgrims on a journey of faith.
You can now follow Peter's adventures and keep up to date with him on this blog post! Watch as Peter visits new places, experiences the world and reminds us all the joy and excitement of being a pilgrim in God’s world. Join us as we walk together in faith, hope, and love throughout this Year of Pilgrimage – with Peter the Pilgrim Bear as our guide and companion!
